New Zealand Flower & Garden Show - Wednesday 28th Nov - Sunday 2nd Dec - 10am to 6pm daily. [MBGP are exhibiting]

Hi everyone... what are we thinking building, installing, supplying 854 gardens, 847 compost bins from Rotorua to Kawakawa in 30 months for the greater good of trying to initiate family and communities very own food security [growing their own], and improving their landfill diversion footprint [composting & upscaling using resources from tips - dumpster diving etc].

VRace is a continuation of what we are doing with an array of 15+ new challenges [other than growing vegetables, lasagna gardening, and composting] added to increase the knowledge & skillset level [empowerment], that once again factors around TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More

Yes we are exhibiting at this years show mentioned above.

It was Thursday last week [22nd Nov] that we met with them to discuss our revamped plans of what we were going to exhibit that changed as a result of networking with Lincoln Heights Primary School.

It's 10:48am [Tuesday 27th Nov] as I'm typing this and the show starts tomorrow and we've still got plenty to do so this will be very brief where more comprehensive details about VRace will be made known after the show...

On offer
On offer at the show are 100% FREE of charge 'starter packs' for schools, corporates, families, and individuals who want to start their green thumb journey with us.
We have 20 FREE single day passes to give away that you use to claim your starter pack(s).

Ideally we want you to register with us so that we can share details of when we will be running working bees/workshops teaching you how to compost/lasagna garden... and other cool things to do with growing your own vegetables. If this rocks with you then ring or text Brent on: 0210 291 0004 to claim your pass.

A starter pack consits of a compost bin & raised garden box. Schools/Corporates get 3 of each, families 2 & 1, individuals 1 & 1.
Most little cars can easily take a 2 & 1 combo.
There were 180 of each but we did a community delivery yesterday to Titirangi of 70 bins and 46 pallet extensions to activate their families & youngsters over Christmas so please don't be shy getting them.

Check out the FREE starter pack photos available at the NZ Flower & Garden Show here

How much can you grow and compost? Are you up for the VRace Challenge?

What is the theme of our exhibit?
We've appropriately named our exhibit 'Landfill Diversion Gardening' as per our images here

Here are some of the VRace challenges... click here

Other crazy news before Christmas
MBGP will be kitting out the above mentioned primary school with 1 x compost bin each for Christmas - 420 in total. This means a lot of landfill diversion using green & organic waste not going out as kerbside waste. Super close to finding out about another 800 deposited for 4 other schools.
Goal is to return in next year to kit out with raised garden boxes to start their lasagna journey too
